Arcade tools designed for LLMs to interact with Salesforce
Salesforce toolkit for Arcade provides LLM-callable tools to read and write Salesforce CRM data — managing leads, contacts, accounts, opportunities, tasks, and activity logs within an org.
Capabilities
- Lead lifecycle — create, search, update, and convert leads into contacts, accounts, and opportunities; handles already-converted leads gracefully by returning redirect record IDs.
- Contact & account management — create contacts, retrieve full account profiles (with related contacts, leads, notes, calls, opportunities, tasks, emails, and events), and search accounts by keyword.
- Pipeline management — create, search, update, and fetch enriched opportunity records including contact roles, line items, open tasks, and notes; supports org/stage validation against configured picklists.
- Task & activity tracking — create follow-up tasks, update or complete tasks, list your assigned tasks (with overdue filtering), log completed calls, and keep call vs. task semantics distinct.
- User & org context — resolve the authenticated user's profile and organization details via
WhoAmI, typically as a first call to establish context for subsequent operations.
OAuth
This toolkit uses OAuth 2.0 with Salesforce as the identity provider. See the Salesforce auth provider docs for setup details.
Secrets
-
SALESFORCE_MAX_CONCURRENT_REQUESTS— An integer that caps how many concurrent API requests the toolkit will issue to Salesforce at once. This is not a credential from Salesforce; it is a runtime tuning value you set yourself based on your org's API limits and throughput requirements. Set it to a value that keeps your org below Salesforce's API request limits under load. -
SALESFORCE_ORG_SUBDOMAIN— The subdomain of your Salesforce org's instance URL (e.g.,mycompanyfrommycompany.salesforce.com, or a My Domain value likemycompany.my.salesforce.com). Find this in your Salesforce org under Setup → My Domain or from the URL you use to log in. Required so the toolkit targets the correct org instance rather than the generic login endpoint.
For details on configuring secrets in Arcade, see the tool secrets guide. You can manage secret values at https://api.arcade.dev/dashboard/auth/secrets.
